Yes these devices are expensive. especially the H&S Mini Maxx Tuner and the ports do break as that is the port on the device used for transferring the data from the tuner to the car and vice versa. The USB cable can only power the device but not transfer data through ODBII cable. Constant removals and movement is the culprit to the port breaking, Some of you even drop the device! No worries we can repair it! We have repaired many .. It is not an easy repair as the LCD is still attached to the motherboard and that causes issues. Also the plastic shell is sometimes too secure and glued on, slight damage to the case is immanent. You can make our lives easier if you tried to open it yourself, just do not break the electronics inside!
Even though 100% so far we have not damaged a single LCD. We do not want to guarantee that the screen wouldn’t get damaged slightly … It never has! but it is so flimsy as a design and we are professional enough to tell you about the risks. The LCD Flex cable is bent in such a harsh way by the manufacturer that it is creased and that is never good in the worlds of flex cables. So far 99% success rate. however just a warning.
Purchase this and send the tuner in for repairs.
I was a idiot and slammed my tuner in the door off my truck. Rather then spending another 1k on a tuner, ship to fix was able to fix my tuner and send it back all within a week. Amazing service. Definitely saved my wallet!
Outstanding repair and customer I can’t say enough. I’m retired US Air Force and it is hard to find the customer service or the quality of repair as compared to the Air Force but I have to say with your company you have both. I will only recommend your service.
